This is so friggin’ cool I could lactate! I think WordPress mu is gonna work just fine for the Illinois Underworld site. I just have to check out how well it’s plugins are integrated.
Pros:
- the amount of space used by a registered user is controllable.
- multiple users can be pulled into a blog by the initial admin.
- themes are chosen from those the overall site’s administrators install.
Cons:
- Each registered user can only belong to one blog.
Users will have to register on the site and then register their band. This way, their band profile is listed as a subdomain of the site. At least, it is here on the wordpress.com site. I will look into how that works.
